Adventure House designs new identity and website for Scholastic’s Engagement Continuum.

By: Alexander Acker, June 30, 2015

The Engagement Continuum is an ELA reading and writing initiative that helps students chart their own development as readers, writers, and individuals.

Created by Scholastic, The Engagement Continuum engages and motivates students who may be struggling to achieve their academic goals and fulfill their potential with relevant reading and writing activities. The key to the success of the program is its being based on the four learning platforms created by noted educator Dr. Alfred W. Tatum.

Adventure House designed the logo mark for The Continuum to represent a convergence of two key ELA programs into a single, comprehensive, and dynamic form. The modern, geometric, intertwining shapes represent both of the courses combined on to one interconnected platform.

The website is a responsive build, optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The site has a dynamic user experience that utilizes animated scroll effects.

The site content was consolidated into four pages to provide a simplified user experience. The main page is comprised of the program overview, followed by two pages on the core Engagement Continuum ELA programs, as well as a contact page.
